From 11 to 15 July, the MPDb returned to Santa Maria (Azores), taking the opportunity of the presence of several researchers on the island of Santa Maria at the annual Escola Anual de Verão dos Açores. Together with the researchers and students, the MPDb revisited not only the fossil outcrops and places of interest of the Santa Maria Palaeopark, but also the fossil collection of the Casa dos Fósseis / Centro de Interpretação Ambiental Dalberto Pombo. On 15 July, the MPDb also had the opportunity to develop an event open to the general public, as part of the programme Ciência Viva no Verão with the Expolab, a day dedicated to palaeontology and the island of Santa Maria.
