​The second edition of the international workshop Palaeontology in Atlantic Islands – Canary Islands (2PAI-CAN) took place between October 14 and 31, 2023, on the islands of Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lanzarote, and included the participation of a multidisciplinary international team, with researchers, technicians and students from six different institutions.

2PAI-CAN made it possible to expand the paleontological knowledge of these islands, through visits to 25 deposits and places of interest, as well as the study of the paleontological collections of the University of Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) and the Museo de Ciencias Naturales (Tenerife). There was also an opportunity to exchange knowledge and new ideas, through oral presentations at these two institutions, including the PALEOMAC2023 lecture cycle (Tenerife, 23-24 October).
